Charles Anthony Rice is a dedicated husband and father of five, who has always had a heart for youth and working alongside organizations that help bring support and resources to underprivileged and underserved communities. With more than 10 years of experience, Charles has focused his time, attention, and skills on working with youth who have been labeled and/or considered “at-risk”. Through his own lived experiences as a youth and young adult, Charles has overcome significant hardship. Since beginning his own journey of holistic recovery and knowing firsthand the positive impact that a mentor can make, he desires to be a bridge in ensuring all young people are given this same opportunity. He strives to lead by example in his home and in his community. As the founder of The Collective Consulting Group (CCG), Charles strives to bring honesty, openness, and transparency as a means of creating hope for a brighter future for youth and young adults throughout New York State and beyond.
An infinite work together. As in our work is never done. When working with young people there really are no "days off". When we see a young person or an adult, agency, or organization that works with young people we cant help but to see the good, the bad, what could be and what should have been.
Black represents the darkness of our pasts.
Grey represents the uncertainty of our current situations.
Gold represents the beauty of our futures.
The futures of our young people lie within the villages in which we surround them.
The mission of The Collective Consulting Group is to create spaces where young people can be empowered. Helping them to advance, excel, and succeed in all aspects of life, ultimately, presenting themselves as positive assets to their communities and beyond. This is accomplished by ensuring that their voices are heard, respected and accounted for within families, communities, and youth servicing systems. As well as through systematic desensitization, focus groups, and innovative and interactive training.
The vision of The Collective Consulting Group is to become the leading consulting firm geared toward youth and young adult development, advancement, and success. We hope to become:
It is important to not minimize the massive impact that mental health services or the lack thereof can have on our young people.
CCG supports and highly encourages the use behavior intervention services in place of juvenile justice as a means of healing from trauma rather than the punishment of symptoms.
At CCG we believe that disabilities are an opportunity for all parties involved to learn and grow in order to provide the ability to turn an obstacle into an opportunity to overcome.
Whether adoption, foster care, kinship, or those being raised by or raising the child of a friend or family member all families and young people deserve the supports and resources supporting the overall success of the young person and family.
Equal does not mean equitable. At CCG we encourage an individualized approach to education rather than assumptive approach often taken by educators that all students learn the same.
Like fire, within boundaries and in the hands of a responsible individual alcohol and substance use does not always have a devastating end. However most young people have never been taught or understood the concept of responsibility. CCG helps young people to process through their their emotions in order to assist in making responsible decisions rather than reactive ones.
CCG works diligently to redefine modern day masculinity and eliminate gender roles and the negative impacts they've had and unhealthy mentalities they've created.
No matter who you are, where you are from, what you believe, or what you look like, all individuals deserve to be respected and should be allowed access to and enforcement of basic human rights.
Often restorative justice is viewed as being soft on crime but in reality its about the humanization of an individual and learning to ask the question what's wrong instead of what happened.
